Light in August

I snapped this photo on the way home from the bar tonight. It brought to mind what the hell Faulkner may have seen after a few bourbons. But mainly great memories of my late friend, Dean Faulkner Wells, who spent much of her youth with her famous uncle. On the left is the Lyric theater -- now a hipster movie venue and cool store. It once was a movie theater that showed late-night Charlie Chan movies. Dean had fond memories of walking from Rowan Oak over to the Lyric. Bill was apparently a Chan buff.
Comments:
I loved the White Shadow. I am from St. Pete and all those locations are very familiar to me. I wish you'd write another one about the area. I would like to know about the St. Pete connections you mentioned in the book.
