Comments:
I knew you could do it. What a coup and a respectful salute to RBP you've done. I can hardly wait to read it.
On a sidenote: I'm waiting for the rest of your books to become ebooks so that I can download them. Do you feel that sometimes you just can't write fast enough to satisfy some of us:)
I still have to wait for the new Spenser until May an ARC would be a great St. Patrick's Day present. I'm just saying.
Why would we want anything that doesn't read just like a Parker novel. I'm sure Mr. Atkins will develop twist and new characters that will brand his style on this icon. To say that the first time out he didn't take a bold new leap is a bit naive. I've been a Spencer fan for twenty years and I excited to hear that Mr. Atkins will take his time and and develop his on style.
I just read the book in one sitting today and I have to say to Ace Atkins,Thank you. I just dont have the words, but let me try. Ive been buying Spenser since 1975. The character of Spenser that I read in your book was like seeing an old friend. Well known old habits, preferences, wit, and gift of gab absolutely unchanged and giftwrapped in a wonderful plot. You are the man. You gained a lifelong fan. What a great thing you've done for us Spenser fans. Thank you.
